How hard the mighty fell. Lewis Hamilton must be feeling really stinky at this moment, being branded as a liar. His reputation as a sportsman is in tatters. Like one caught with his hand in the cookie jar, he had no option but to bite the bullet and move on and take whatever consequences the FIA might impose on him or his team. He seemed to be so naive that he went along with the lie that his team cooked up.Suspension from racing will be too harsh a punishment. Docking points from him or his team would be a better alternative, like what happened to some Serie A teams previously when they have to start from negative points because of ‘irregularities’ in the previous season. At least, it gives him a chance to remain in racing which is in his blood. Punish him by all means but do not over-punish.
