She Loves You

Though they have already had two no 1 hits in Britain in 1963, it was this song which brought them to the 'toppermost of the poppermost'. This song distilled the essence of everything that made them fresh and exciting.... the driving beat, the fine harmonising and the girlish woooo sounds. The distinctive 'yeah yeah yeah' became a famous catch phrase.
LyricsShe loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

You think you lost your love,
Well, I saw her yesterday.
It's you she's thinking of
And she told me what to say.

She says she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad.

She said you hurt her so
She almost lost her mind.
But now she said she knows
You're not the hurting kind.

She says she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad. Ooh!

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
And with a love like that
You know you should be glad.

You know it's up to you,
I think it's only fair,
Pride can hurt you, too,
Apologize to her

Because she loves you
And you know that can't be bad.
Yes, she loves you
And you know you should be glad. Ooh!

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah

with a love like that
You know you should
Be Glad!

with a love like that
You know you should
Be Glad!

With a love like that
You know you should
be glad!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah Ye-ah.

All My Loving

All My Loving was in the 'With The Beatles' album, written by Paul who was inspired by actress, Jane Asher.

LyricsClose your eyes and I'll kiss you,
Tomorrow I'll miss you;
Remember I'll always be true.
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home ev'ry day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.

I'll pretend That I'm missing
the lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true.
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home ev'ry day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.

All my loving I will send to you.
All my loving, darling I'll be true.

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you,
Tomorrow I'll miss you:
Remember I'll always be true.
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home ev'ry day,
And I'll send all my loving to you

All my loving I will send to you.
All my loving darling I'll be True.
All my loving All my loving ooh
All my loving I will send to you

Fascination

The beautiful song, Fascination, was done by numerous artistes. Below is the original.

Lyrics
It was fascination
I know
And it might have ended
Right then, at the start
Just a passing glance
Just a brief romance
And I might have gone
On my way
Empty hearted

It was fascination
I know
Seeing you alone
With the moonlight above
Then I touch your hand
And next moment
I kiss you
Fascination turned to love

It was fascination
I know
Seeing you alone
With the moonlight above
Then I touch your hand
And next moment
I kiss you
Fascination turned - to - love

I saw Her Standing There

'I Saw Her Standing There' was recorded in a 15-hour session in Feb 1963. The '1-2-3-4' intro was added to give the impression of a raw Liverpool beat group captured in a live performance. It was originally titled 'Seventeen' which told a story of a boy who sees a girl dancing at a local ballroom. After deciding that 'her look is beyond compare', determines not to dance with anyone else again.

Lyrics1 - 2 - 3 - 4 !

Well, she was just 17,
You know what I mean,
And the way she looked was way beyond compare.
So how could I dance with another (ooh)
When I saw her standin' there.

Well she looked at me, and I, I could see
That before too long I'd fall in love with her.
She wouldn't dance with another (whooh)
When I saw her standin' there.

Well, my heart went "boom,"
When I crossed that room,
And I held her hand in mine...

Well, we danced through the night,
And we held each other tight,
And before too long I fell in love with her.
Now, I'll never dance with another (whooh)
When I saw her standing there

Well, my heart went "boom,"
When I crossed that room,
And I held her hand in mine...

Oh, we danced through the night,
And we held each other tight,
And before too long I fell in love with her.
Now I'll never dance with another (whooh)
Since I saw her standing there 3x

Wind of Change

"Wind of Change" is a 1990 power ballad written by Klaus Meine, vocalist of the German rock band Scorpions. It appeared on their 1990 album 'Crazy World' but did not become a worldwide hit single until 1991, when it topped the charts in Germany and across Europe, and hit #4 in the United States and #2 in the United Kingdom. It later appeared on the 1995 live album 'Live Bites', on their 2000 album 'Moment of Glory', with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and on their 2001 unplugged album 'Acoustica'.
The lyrics celebrate the political changes in Eastern Europe at that time – such as the Polish Round Table Agreement and fall of the Berlin Wall, the increasing freedom in the communist bloc (which soon led to the fall of the USSR), and the clearly imminent end of the Cold War.
The Scorpions were inspired to write the song on a visit to Moscow in 1989

Lyrics
"Wind Of Change"

I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change

The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change

Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change

The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change

Livin' On A Prayer

"Livin' on a Prayer" is Bon Jovi's third single from their Slippery When Wet album. Written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora with Desmond Child, the single, released in late 1986.
LyricsOnce upon a time not so long ago:
Tommy used to work on the docks
union's been on strike

He's down on his luck - It's tough
so tough.
Gina works the diner all day
working for her man
She brings home her pay for love
for love.

She says: We've got to hold on to what we've got
'Cause it doesn't make a difference if we make it or not.
We've got each other and that's a lot for love -
We'll give it a shot.

oh We're half way there - oh oh Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it
I swear - oh oh livin' on a prayer.

Tommy got his six string in hock.
Now he's holding in what he used to make it talk -
So tough
hmmm it's tough.
Gina dreams of running away
when she cries in the night
Tommy whispers: Baby it's okay
someday.

We've got to hold on to what we've got . . .
We're half way there - Livin' on a prayer
. . .

We've got to hold on ready or not

You live for the fight when it's all that you've got.
We're half way there - Livin' on a prayer
. . .
We're half way there - Livin' on a prayer
. . .
We're half way there - Livin' on a prayer
. .

It's My Life

"It's My Life" is Bon Jovi's first single from the album Crush, released on May 23, 2000. The song became an anthem that appealed to many fans.
Jon Bon Jovi later stated:
When I was writing "It's My Life", I thought I was writing very self-indulgently about my own life and where I was in it. I didn't realize that the phrase "It's My Life" would be taken as being about everyone--by teenagers, by older guys, mechanics, whatever. "It's my life, and I'm taking control". Everyone kind of feels that way from time to time.

It's My Life lyrics
Songwriters: Bon Jovi, Jon; Martin, Max; Sambora, Richard S;

This ain't a song for the brokenhearted
No silent prayer for the faith departed
And I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive

(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just wanna live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder, make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky, gotta make your own breaks

It's my life
And it's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/b/bon-jovi-lyrics/it_s-my-life-lyrics.html ]

(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just wanna live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life

You better stand tall
When they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break
Baby, don't back down

It's my life
It's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive

(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just wanna live while I'm alive

(It's my life)
And it's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive

(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just wanna live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life!

Love You

Love You is the second UK number-one single of 1960's by Cliff Richard and The Shadows, written by Shadows' rhythm guitarist Bruce Welch. Released in December, it was a Christmas number 1, although it did not carry a traditional holiday theme.

Lyrics
Your love means more to me than
All the apples hanging on a tree
And like those apples our love will grow because I
I love you

Your love means more to me than
All the fishes swimming in the sea
And like those fishes my heart begins to swim because I
I love you

I love you
I want you for my own
I need you near to me
More than anyone could ever know

Your love means so much more
Than all the loves I've ever had before
So please believe what I say because I
I love you

I love you

I love you
I want you for my own
I need you so much more
More than anyone could ever know
Everyone knows one and one is two
I'm the one and the other ones you
So lets get together and you will see
How much I
I love you

Lets get together and you will see
How much I
I love you

Constantly

Constantly by Cliff RichardAll day I'm walking in a dream
I think about you constantly
Just like an ever flowing stream
Your memory haunts me constantly
Shadows fall and I try to drive you from my mind
So you're no longer near to me
But my heart sees you there with me
Every sunset you share with me
The rain that patters through the tree reminds
Me of you constantly
Your name is whispered by the breeze and love birds
Bring your song to me
Just as sure as each star keeps burning
In the sky your love will stay a flame in me
A flame that burns so bright
Not only through the night
But constantly
Though we may be far apart
You're constantly deep in my heart

Theme For a Dream

Theme for a Dream : Cliff Richard

You are my theme for a dream
Yes you are, a rare and lovely theme (You're a theme for a dream)
The dreams I dream day and night
That your arms are holding me so tight (You're a theme for a dream)

every time I kiss you (kiss you)
Music fills with starlight (starlight)
Every time I touch you ( when I touch you)
Each and every time a chime rings out I love you
Only you for ever more

'Cause you're my theme for a dream
Yes you are a rare and lovely theme (You're my theme for a dream)
So, angel please say that you love me too
And make my dreams come true dream (you're my theme for a dream)
Lyrics of Theme For a Dream
When I dream I kiss you (kiss you)
Music fills with starlight (starlight)
Every time I touch you ( when I touch you)
Each and every time a chime rings out I love you

The Young Ones

"The Young Ones" is a single by Cliff Richard and The Shadows. The song, written by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett, is the title song to the 1961 film The Young Ones and its soundtrack album.
Lyrics
The young ones,
Darling we're the young ones,
And young ones shouldn't be afraid.

To live, love
While the flame is strong,
for we won't be the young ones very long.

Tomorrow,
why wait till tomorrow,
Tomorrow sometimes never comes.
Love, me,
there's a song to be sung
And the best time is to sing while we're young.

Once in every lifetime
comes a love like this.
I need you and you need me.
Oh my darling can't you see.
Young dreams
Should be dreamed together,
Young hearts shouldn't be afraid.
And some day when the years have flown
Darling, this will teach the young ones of our own.
The young ones
Darling, we're the young ones
The young ones
Darling, we're the young ones.

The Shadows

Last night, 1st Jan, Vernon Cornelius and his gang brought back memories of the good old days through their music. The Shadows (1958 - 1968) was the one group which teenagers those day wanted to emulate. The Shadows were formed from members of several late 1950s UK skiffle groups: The Newcastle-based "Railroaders" (and also The Five Chesternuts on Columbia Records) who supplied Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch; and The Vipers Skiffle Group (on Parlophone records) who supplied Jet Harris and Tony Meehan from London. The Shadows, although originally the live and recording backing band for Cliff Richard, were later marketed as an instrumental combo, following their explosive chart success with the Jerry Lordan composition "Apache".
Here are some of their classics. Please enjoy the classic guitar sounds of the 60s.
