"Who's Next" was the 5th studio album by the group in August 1971 in a followup to Tommy. The other outstanding track from this album was "Baba O Riley"

"Won't Get Fooled Again" (written by Pete Townsend)
We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

The Who

The Who is a British rock band who are mentioned in the same breath as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. They are evolved from a group called The Detours in 1964. Their lineup :
lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle and drummer Keith Moon.
Their first single " I Can't Explain" reached the top ten before a string of hits followed, including "My Generation".  Their strings of hits include "Who are You", "Pinball Wizard", I Can See For Miles", "Baba O Riley", "Won't Get Fooled Again" etc. The Who's live performances on stage have an auto-destructive mod with smashing of guitars and drums.
The group's drummer Keith Moon died on 7 Sept 1978 (drugs) aged 32 and was replaced by Kenney Jones. John Entwistle passed away in June 2002, (heart attack) aged 57.

"My Generation"
People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
And don't try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
And don't try to d-dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a b-big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we g-g-get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

The Byrds : Times they Are a Changing

Byrds The Times They Are a-Changin' EP.jpg

Bob Dylan wrote this song in 1963 with an attempt to create an anthem for change for the moment. The song was heavily influenced by Irish and Scottish ballads. A host of artistes covered the song : Peter Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, Bruce Springsteen, Phil Collins, Joan Baez & The Beach Boys.
The Bryds included this song in their second album Turn! Turn! Turn!

10/4/65

"The Times They Are A-Changin'
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

On January 20, 1965, they recorded "Mr. Tambourine Man" for release as their debut single. It was an unreleased song by Bob Dylan
Columbia Records eventually released the "Mr. Tambourine Man" single on April 12, 1965.

 "Mr. Tambourine Man"
Hey Mister Tambourine Man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm goin' to
Hey Mister Tambourine Man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you

Take me for a trip upon your magic swirlin' ship
All my senses have been stripped
And my hands can't feel to grip
And my toes too numb to step
Wait only for my boot heels to be wanderin'

I'm ready to go anywhere I'm ready for to fade
On to my own parade cast your dancin' spell my way
I promise to go under it

Hey Mister Tambourine Man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm goin' to
Hey Mister Tambourine Man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you

David Crosby, Gene Clark, Micheal Clarke, Chris Hillman, Jim McGuinn

The Byrds was an American folk rock band formed in 1964. They were similar to the numerous British bands during that era. Their commercial successes were limited, 1965 - 1966. There were numerous changes to the lineup but Roger McGuinn aka Jim McGuinn remained the sole original member until the disbandment in 1973. David Crosby and Micheal Clarke left in 1967.

 "Turn! Turn! Turn!"

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late!

Rainbow 1979 - 1980

The controlling Ritchie Blackmore attempted to replace Dio with Ian Gillan, but Gillan turned him down. After a series of auditions, former vocalist/guitarist of The Marbles, Graham Bonnet was recruited instead. Cozy Powell stayed, but Daisley and Stone were both fired, the latter being replaced by keyboardist Don Airey.
At first the band auditioned bass players, but Cozy Powell suggested the then-former Deep Purple member Roger Glover. He came in as a producer, bassist and lyricist. The first album from the new line-up, Down to Earth, featured the band's first major singles chart successes, "All Night Long" and the Russ Ballard-penned "Since You Been Gone".

"Since You Been Gone" by Rainbow

I get the same old dreams same time every night
Fall to the ground and I wake up
So I get out of bed, put on my shoes and in my head
Thoughts fly back to the breakup

These four wall are closing in
Look at the fix you put me in

Since you been gone
Since you been gone
I'm out of my head can't take it
Could I be wrong
But since you been gone
You cast your spell so break it
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Since you been gone

So in the night I stand beneath the backstreet light
I read the words that you sent to me
I can take the afternoon, the night time comes around
too soon
You can't know what you mean to me

Your poison letter, your telegram
Just goes to show you don't give a damn

Since you been gone
Since you been gone
I'm out of my head can't take it
Could I be wrong
But since you been gone
You cast your spell so break it
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Since you been gone

If you will come back
Baby, you know you'll never do wrong

Since you been gone
Since you been gone
I'm out of my head can't take it
Could I be wrong
But since you been gone
You cast your spell so break it
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Ever since you been gone

Since you been gone
Since you been gone
I'm out of my head can't take it
Since you been gone
Since you been gone
I'm out of my head can't take it

The second album, "Rising" was recorded in Feb 1976.

"Rising" (1976)

Live in Nuremberg Germany 1976

"Stargazer"
High noon, oh I'd sell my soul for water
Nine years worth of breakin' my back
There's no sun in the shadow of the wizard
See how he glides, why he's lighter than air?
Oh I see his face!

Where is your star?
Is it far, is it far, is it far?
When do we leave?
I believe, yes, I believe

In the heat and the rain
With whips and chains
To see him fly
So many die
We build a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
Just to see him fly
But don't know why
Now where do we go?

Hot wind, moving fast across the desert
We feel that our time has arrived
The world spins, while we put his dream together
A tower of stone to take him straight to the sky
Oh I see his face!

Where is your star?
Is it far, is it far, is it far?
When do we leave?
Hey, I believe, I believe

In the heat and the rain
With whips and chains
Just to see him fly
Too many die
We build a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
To see him fly
But we don't know why
Ooh, now where do we go

All eyes see the figure of the wizard
As he climbs to the top of the world
No sound, as he falls instead of rising
Time standing still, then there's blood on the sand
Oh I see his face!

Where was your star?
Was it far, was it far
When did we leave?
We believed, we believed, we believed

In heat and rain
With the whips and chains
To see him fly
So many died
We built a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone
To see him fly

But why
In all the rain
With all the chains
Did so many die
Just to see him fly

Look at my flesh and bone
Now, look, look, look, look,
Look at his tower of stone
I see a rainbow rising
Look there, on the horizon
And I'm coming home, I'm coming home, I'm coming home

Time is standing still
He gave back my will
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Going home
I'm going home

My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is leaving here
But it's not home
But it's not home
Ooh

Take me back
He gave me back my will
Ooh ooh ooh ooh

Going home
I'm going home

My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is leaving here
But it's not home
But it's not home
Ooh

Take me back, take me back
Back to my home ooh, ooh, ooh

"Temple Of The King"
One day in the year of the fox
Came a time remembered well
When the strong young man of the rising sun
Heard the tolling of the great black bell

One day in the year of the fox
When the bell began to ring
Meant the time had cometh
For one to go
To the temple of the king

There in the middle of the circle he stands
Searching, seeking
With just one touch of his trembling hand
The answer will be found

Daylight waits while the old man sings
Heaven help me
And then like the rush of a thousand wings
It shines upon the one
And the day had just begun

One day in the year of the fox
Came a time remembered well
When the strong young man of the rising sun
Heard the tolling of the great black bell

One day in the year of the fox
When the bell began to sing
It meant the time had cometh
For one to go
To the temple of the king

There in the middle of the people
He stands
Seeing, feeling
With just a wave of a strong right hand
He's gone
To the temple of the king

Far from the circle at the edge of the world
He's hoping, wondering
Thinking back from the stories he's heard
Of what he's going to see

There in middle of the circle it lies
Heaven help me
Then all could see by the shine in his eyes
The answer had been found

Back with the people in the circle
He stands
Giving, feeling
With just one touch of a strong right hand
They know
Of the temple and the king

"Man On The Silver Mountain"
I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel
I can roll, I can feel
And you can't stop me turning

Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun
I can move, I can run
But you'll never stop me burning

Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

I'm the day, I'm the day
I can show you the way
And look, I'm right beside you

I'm the night, I'm the night
I'm the dark and the light
With eyes that see inside you

Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Come down with fire
And lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again

Well, I can help you, you know I can

I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Just look at me and listen
I'm the man, the man, give you my hand
I'm the man on the silver mountain

Come down with fire
And lift your spirit higher
I'm the man on the mountain
The man on the silver mountain
I'm the night, the light
The black and the white
The man on the silver mountain

Rough Diamonds Bad Company

Rough Diamonds, released in 1982 after a 3 year hiatus, was the 6th and last album that the group released as Paul Rodgers left after to pursue his solo career.

In 1984 Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke decided to regroup for a new project. He insisted that they resume the Bad Company name without Paul Rodgers who was already engaged with a new supergroup called The Firm. With Rodgers gone, the remaining two members partnered with vocalist Brian Howe as the new lead singer, Steve Price as the new bass player and Greg Dechert on keyboards. Howe's vocal style brought more of a pop-rock sound to the band.  The band hired producer Keith Olsen to produce the new lineup's initial album, 1986's Fame and Fortune. This was the end to a rocking Bad Company era.

Tracks from "Rough Diamonds" (1982)

Lyrics of "Electric Land"
The neon lights go flashing by
Electric Land is in my eyes
The underworld is on the move
And everybody's got something to prove

The taxi driver delivers the news
Somebody out there has blown a fuse
We're passing the scene a man is dead
A thirty eight blew away his head

A jolt of lightning set's me back a pace
Feel like a visitor from outer space
Please excuse me if I don't quite understand
I'm just a stranger in Electric Land

Willing to have a good time
You live for the moment the moment is fine
You're up in your room the lights are low
Nefore you know it's time for the show

A jolt of lightning set's me back a pace
Feel like a visitor from outer space
Please excuse me if I don't quite understand
I'm just a stranger in Electric Land

"Evil Wind"
Ten thousand miles I've travelled,
Ten thousand miles an' more,
Now I found myself standing,
Outside of my babies door.

I've been gone such a long time,
I never thought I would return,
Now I found myself standing in the rain,
Waiting for your key to turn, yeah, yeah.
Evil wind, passed me by,
Troubled waters, pay me no mind. I have heard the thunder,

Rolling across the sky, I have seen the morning sun,
Burn on a mountain high, I have crossed the waters
That will keep them miles apart, Now I know the time has come
To make a brand new start.

Evil wind, passed me by, Troubled waters, pay me no mind, Yeah.
Fly plane I'm coming home again, Plane fly, like an eagle
through the sky, Evil wind, troubled water, Pay me no mind; pay me no mind, oh.

Oh, yeah.
Evil wind, passed me by,
Troubled waters, pay me no mind, yeah.

"Oh, Atlanta" from Desolation Angels album
Same old place, same old city
What can I do, I'm falling in love
I'm just an old hound dog, roaming around, oh Lord
I got all this and heaven above

Oh Atlanta, hear me calling
I'm coming back to you one fine day
No need to worry, there ain't no hurry
'Cause I'm, on my way back to Georgia
On my way back to Georgia

I get a feeling when I remember
All the crazy days and crazy nights
Country music playing, you must have heard them saying
They're going to whip it up and light up the lights

Oh Atlanta, hear me calling
I'm coming back to you one fine day
No need to worry, there ain't no hurry
'Cause I'm, on my way back to Georgia
On my way back to Georgia

Same old place, it's the same old city
What can I do, I'm falling in love
I'm just an old hound dog, roaming around
Oh Lord, I got all this and heaven above

Oh Atlanta, hear me calling
I'm coming back to you one fine day
No need to worry, there ain't no hurry
'Cause I'm, well Atlanta, hear me calling

I'm coming back to you one fine day
No need to worry, no need to hurry
'Cause I'm, on my way back to Georgia
On my way back to Georgia

On my way back to Georgia
On my way back to Georgia
On my way back to Georgia

On my way, on my way
On my way back to Georgia
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Georgia on my mind
On my way back to Georgia
Yes, I'm on my way, yeah

"Rock and Roll Fantasy" live 2010

"Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy"
Hey, yeah.
Here come the jesters, one, two, three.
It's all part of my fantasy,
I love the music and I love to see
the crowd,
Dancing in the aisles and singing out loud, yeah.

Here come the dancers one by one,
Your mamas calling but you're having fun
You'll find you're dancing on a number nine cloud
Put your hands together and sing
it out loud

Its all part of my rock 'n' roll
fantasy, yeah.
Its all part of my rock 'n' roll
dream, yeah.

It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy.
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll
dream.

Put out the spot lights one and all
And let the feeling get down to
your soul
The music's so loud you can here the sound
Reaching for the sky churning up the ground

It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy.
Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, oh, yeah.
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy.
Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, yeah, yeah.
Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

By 1977, Bad Company seemed to have run out of steam. Their fourth album, Burnin' Sky fared badly.

"Burning Sky" live 2010

Lyrics : "Burnin' Sky"
The sky is burnin' I believe my soul's on fire,
You are, I'm learning, the key to my desire.

Waiting for the van to arrive,
The prisoners were lined
up outside.
Jumped a wall, hitcheda ride, and
now I'm here
to say;
Love you, baby, anyway, oh, yeah.
The sky is burnin' I believe my soul is on fire,
You are, I'm learning, the key to my desire.

Ran across the country fields,
In all terrain, they had guns and dogs and everything.
Swam a river try'n to lose my trail,
But they caught me, under the bridge. Oh yeah!

The sky is burnin' I believe my soul's on fire,
You are, I'm learning, the key to my desire.

Oh, yeah.

The sky is burnin' I believe my soul's on fire,
You are, I am learning, the key to my desire.

The judge said, 'this man's a danger to humanity,
We're gonna lock him up and throw away the key'
Now, baby, your love has sent me to jail
But I'd rather die than see you with another man

It's burnin' baby, mm, mm; I believe my souls on fire

I believe my souls on fire,
Working on the railroad, every day
But they can't keep me here
And I'm not gonna stay
I got to get outta this place
I'll see you, baby.

It's burnin', yeah, it's burnin'.
I believe my souls on fire,
Keep on burnin',
Ah, yeah, yeah, ah, oh, oho. Keep on burnin'

Bad Company Young Blood

A single from "Run With the Pack"

"Young Blood"
I saw her standing on the corner
A yellow ribbon in her hair
I couldn't keep myself from callin'
Look a there, look a there, look a there, look a there

Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can't get you out of my mind

I took one look and I fractured
I tried to walk and I was lame
I couldn't keep myself from shoutin'
What's your name, what's your name, what's your name,
What's your name

Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can't get you out of my mind

What crazy stuff she looked so tough
I had to follow her all the way home
Then things went bad I met her dad he said
You better leave my daughter alone

I couldn't sleep that night for crying
I saw the rising of the sun
And all night long my heart was sighin'
Cause she's the one, she's the one, she's the one, she's the one

Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can't get you out of my mind

"Silver, Blue & Gold" : Bad Company
In the beginning, I believed every word that you said,
Now that you're gone my world is in shreds.
Oh, you loved me and left me,
You took all the things that I needed so bad,
I'm standing here wondering where is the love that I had?
Oh, give me silver, blue and gold,
The colour of the sky I'm told,
My ray-ay-ain-bow is overdue.

In the beginning, yeah,
There was something of love that was mine,
Now that it's gone, whoa, I'm cryin'.

Oh, the time that it takes for a love
To grow cold is a wonder to me,
I'm walkin' around with my head
Hangin' down, tell me where is she?

Give me silver, blue and gold,
The colour of the sky I'm told,
My ray-ay-ain-bow is overdue.

Don't forsake me 'cause I love you.
Don't forsake me 'cause I love you.
Give me silver, blue and gold,
The colour of the sky I'm told.
My ray-ay-ain-bow is overdue.
Give me silver, blue and gold,
The colour of the sky I'm told.
My ray-ay-ain-bow is overdue.
Now, give me silver, blue and gold,
The colour of the sky I'm told.
My ray-ay-ain-bow is overdue, yeah.

Oh, don't forsake me 'cause I love you.
Don't forsake me 'cause I love you, yeah.

In 1976, Bad Company recorded their 3rd album and 3rd consecutive platinum in Grasse, France. The picture of a pack of wolves on a silver background was awesome then.

"Run With The Pack"

You never give me my money,
You only give me your sympathy.
'Cause I keep on running,
There's no way to catch up with me.
I'm leaving you, don't make no fuss;
You won't even see me, oh no, for dust.

I'm running with the pack,
Running with the pack,
I'm running with the pack,
Never looking back.

You try to keep me in cages,
But baby, you got to catch me first.
You think your law is contagious,
I'll do my best, you can do your worst.
I'm leaving you, now who can I trust;
You won't even see me, oh no, for dust.

I'm running with the pack,
Running with the pack,
I'm running with the pack,
Never looking back.

All right.

Look out there.

I'm running with the pack,
Running with the pack,
I'm running with the pack,
Never looking back.

Running with the pack,
I'm running with the pack,
Running with the pack,
Never looking back.
Oh, yeah.

You can't hold me down,
You can't hold me back,

On my own way,
Running with the pack, ooh.
Never, never, never looking back, Oh.
Keep on running, keep on running
Yeah, yeah.
Moving on, moving out.
Oh, oh......

Bad Company Straight Shooter

Immediately after their greatly successful debut album "Bad Company", the group came up with their second album "Straight Shooter" in 1975. Two hits emerged from this album ie "Feel Like making Love" and "Shooting Star". The latter was written while the group was on its way to US for their second tour.

 "Shooting Star"
Johnny was a schoolboy when he heard his first Beatle song,
'Love me do,' I think it was. From there it didn't take him long.
Got himself a guitar, used to play every night,
Now he's in a rock 'n' roll outfit,

And everything's all right, don't you know?

Johnny told his mama, hey, 'Mama, I'm goin' away. I'm gonna hit the big
time, gonna be a big star someday', Yeah.
Mama came to the door with a teardrop in her eye.
Johnny said, 'Don't cry, mama, smile and wave good-bye'.

Don't you know, yeah yeah, Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, don't you know. Don't you know that you are
a shooting star, And all the world will love you just as long,
As long as you are.

Johnny made a record, Went straight up to number one,
Suddenly everyone loved to hear him sing the song.
Watching the world go by, surprising it goes so fast.
Johnny looked around him and said, 'Well, I made the big time at last'.

Don't you know, don't you know, Don't you know that you are
a shooting star,
Don't you know, oh, yeah, Don't you know that you are
a shooting star, yeah,
And all the world will love you just as long,
As long as you are, a shooting star.

Don't you know that you are a shooting star, Don't you know, yeah,
Don't you know that you are a shooting star, now,
And all the world will love you just as long, As long you are you.

Johnny died one night, died in his bed, Bottle of whiskey,
sleeping tablets by his head. Johnny's life passed him by like a
warm summer day, If you listen to the wind you can still hear him play

Oh oh oh, Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, yeah, don't you know', Don't you know that
you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, yeah,
Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you, don't you,
don't you, don't you,
Don't you know, don't you
know, oh, yeah, you are,
Yeah, a shooting star, yeah, oh
oh oh oh oh......
Don't you, don't you know
that you are a shooting star,
Don't you don't you know......

"Feel Like Making Love"

Lyrics of "Feel Like making Love"

Baby, when I think about you
I think about love
Darlin', couldn't live without you
And your love

If I had those golden dreams of my yesterday
I would wrap you
In the heavens
And feel it dyin' all the way
(Dyin')

I feel like makin'
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love to you

Baby, if I think about you
I think about love
Baby baby baby, if I live without you
I live without love

And if I had the sun and moon
They were shinin'
You know I would give you both night and day
Love satisfyin'

I feel like makin'
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love to you

And if I had the sun and moon
They were shinin'
You know I would give you both night and day
Love satisfyin'

I feel like makin'
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love, love

Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love
Feel like makin' love to you...

 "Can't Get Enough"
(1, 1-2-3)

Well, I take whatever I want
And baby, I want you
You give me something I need
Now tell me I got something for you

Come on, come on, come on and do it
Come on and-uh do what you do

I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love

Listen

Well, it's late and I want love
Love that's gonna break me in two
Don't you hang me up in your doorway
Don't you hang up like you do

Say it
Come on, come on, come on and do it
Come on, come on, do what you do, Woo!

I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love

Well I say now

I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love

Say it again, aah
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love

I've got to tell ya baby, that I
I love you so much I can't get enough of your love
I love you so much I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love

Mmm, you know what I'm saying baby
I can't get enough of your love

I can't get enough, enough of your love
I can't get enough, enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love, Yeah
Woo! Ah, come on baby
Come over here right now
Oh oh oh oh...

"Movin' On" : Bad Company Live 2010

"Movin' On"
I get up in the morning and it's just another day
Pack up my belongings, I've got to get away
Jump in to a taxi and the time is gettin' tight
I got to keep on movin' on I got a show tonight

I'm movin' on, movin' on from town to town, yeah
I'm movin' on, baby, my feet are never touchin' the ground, yeah

I take it to the ticket place there's a half a boat
Headin' for the Bordengate I'm feelin' pretty low
Fifteen minutes later, I'm sittin' on my plane
Fastened in my safety belt I'm takin' off again

I'm movin' on, movin' on from town to town
I'm movin' on, little darlin', I can't seem to slow me down

Yeah, people got to move and move
Yeah, that's why I'm movin' on, alright
Yeah, people got to move and move
Yeah, never seem to slow me down, alright

Oh good rockin' tonight, baby

I got to move, I got to move
Yeah, I got to keep on keepin' on movin' on yeah
Why don't you come along with me?

I got to move, yeah I don't mind as long as I'm movin'
Yes, I'm movin' on
I love everyday you of my life
I guess I am close to you
I'm movin'

Bad Company - The Beginning and Rock Anthems

England's Bad Company was formed in 1973 during the classic rock era, when Paul Rodgers decided to start anew after the breakup of the legendary band Free. He met up with Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople to form the new band. They recruited Boz Burrell from King Crimson and then add drummer Simon Kirke to form Bad Company.
Their self titled debut album went platinum immediately, featuring hits like "Can't Get Enough", "Movin" On" and rock anthems like "Ready for Love", "Rock Steady" and "Bad Company"

"Bad Company"
Company, always on the run
Destiny is the rising sun
Oh, I was born six-gun in my hand
Behind a gun I'll make my final stand
That's why they call me

Bad company
And I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
Oh, till the day I die
Till the day I die

Rebel souls, deserters we are called
Chose a gun and threw away the sun
Now these towns, they all know our name
Six-gun sound is our claim to fame
I can hear them say

Bad company
And I won't deny
Bad, bad company
Till the day I die, oo yeah
Till the day I die, oo

Hey
Bad company
And I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die

And I say it's
Bad company, oh yeah yeah
Bad company
Till the day I die, oh yeah

Tell me that you are not a thief
Oh but I am bad company
It's the way I play dirty for dirty
Oh, somebody double-crossed me
Double-cross, double-cross

Yeah, we're bad company

"Rock Steady"
Well, when I want to rock steady,
I know, I got to get ready
Close my eyes and I let myself go.
Listen to, oh, baby, let the music flow,
Turn on your light and stay with me a while
And ease your worried mind,
Turn on your light, now babe

And stay with me a while and rock steady.
Yeah, oh, now rock steady,
Yeah, rock, rock steady.
When my love gets a little bit too heavy,
She's mine an' I got to get ready.
Close my eyes and let myself go,
I listen too, yeah, and I let the
music flow.
Yeah, it's flowing now.

Turn on your light and stay with me a while
And ease your worried mind,
Turn on your light
And stay with me a while and rock steady.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Turn on your light and stay with me a while,
And ease your worried mind; turn on your light,
Stay with me a while
And rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock,
Babe, turn on your light
And ease your worried mind,
Yeah, turn on your little light,
Oh, and rock steady.

"Ready For Love"Walkin' down this rocky road
Wondering where my life is leadin'
Rollin' on to the bitter end
Finding out along the way
What it takes to keep love living
You should know how it feels, my friend

Ooh, I want you to stay
Ooh, I want you today

I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
Ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love

Now I'm on my feet again
Better things are bound to happen
All my dues surely must be paid
Many miles and many tears
Times were hard but now they're changing
You should know that I'm not afraid

Ooh, I want you to stay
Ooh, I want you today

I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
I'm ready for love
Oh baby, I'm ready for love
Oh, for your love

Life after Retirement 2014

After about a month of doing 'nothing', the routines of reading papers, going for breakfast, collecting My Paper and Today from the distributors at the MRT station, reading the whole newspaper by morning and further reading on NLB books, it was getting depressive as contact with the pupils and personnels in the school was minimal. One tends to miss them after 38 years of daily connections. So the urge to go back to school is very strong.
Fortunately, after a week of uncertainty, I was finally back to the education system on 10th Jan 2014. The new routines formed a significant uplift to the retired years.......

10 Jan 2014 First day in new school : the dawn

As the day brightens.... the field

it gets brighter.....the canteen block

pupils start to gather for the morning assembly
as more pupils gather....
