Man Utd in March 2017

The games are coming in thick and fast and the Red devils are riding high with a 3-2 win over Southampton in the League Cup final.

Once again, the Red Devils dominated but could not find the finishing touches. Bournemouth scored with their only one shot on target ie a penalty while the home side rained 20 shots!!! Moreover it was against 10 men!!! Jose Mourinho acknowledged that these are the sort of games Utd should have won (10 draws) or else by now, the Red Devils would be challenging Chelsea instead of being stuck at 6th. The realistic target now will only be for final UCL place.

Zlatan mistreated and gave back!!! His day got worse when his penalty was saved or else it would have been the winning goal!!!!
(he received a 3 match ban while Tyrone Mings got 5)

Europa league Round of 16
Travel more than 3,000 miles to Rostov, Russia and came back with a draw was not a bad result on a very bad pitch and then to hurriedly rush back to be ready for Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday. No time to rest.
The big news of the week was on how Barcelona rose from the dead to beat PSG 6-1 (6-5 aggregate) after they were buried in the 4 nil defeat at Paris. The last three goals were scored in the last quarter of the game.

The Red Devils suffered their first defeat since November in this FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge, losing to a Kante goal. Jose Mourinho again found no pleasure in returning to his old hunting ground and was barracked by some fans for being a 'Judas'. What short short memories the Blues fans had!
Ander Herrera was sent off in the 35th minute for two yellow cards.

Europa League
The Red Devils continued their march in this competition with a tepid 1-0 win at Old Trafford against FK Rostov in the second leg of Round 16. Juan Mata scored when it mattered most. The tired legs are now telling. Sergio Romero saved them with two classy saves.

Man Utd 1  Rostov 0

In the midst of n heavy weary schedule, Jose Mourinho would most certainly be satisfied with this
3-1 win at Middlesbrough whose manager and his friend Aitor Karanka was sacked  earlier in the week. The Red Devils were without Progba, Rooney Ibrahimovic, Herrera.......either injured or suspended. The win lifted Utd to 5th in the table.
Jesse Lingard scored a wonder goal.
