EPL Week 30

Manchester United v Manchester City - Premier League

Man Utd vs Man City : City won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier in the season. They won the last 4 games against the Red Devils. Will they regain their form quick enough to beat the upbeat Utd again?

4-2: It was demolition derby at Old Trafford
as the Citizens just could not handle the Red Devils. They were totally out of form though      Aguero still managed to score the first and last goal. The Red Devils are now playing like Champions though it was not long ago that van Gaal and his men were criticized for playing like zombies. The critics were especially harsh on Fellaini and Young.  Now, everyone believes in van Gaal and his men. Now, Pelligrini's men are looking anxiously wondering whether they can take the 4th CL place...with Liverpool hot at heels. Forget about retaining the title. Not so long ago, in December, they were on par with leader Chelsea!!!

Burnley vs Arsenal: will the in form Gunners falter at Turf Moor? Burnley had been playing out of their skins whenever they play against the top teams.

0-1: Arsenal kept the title hope alive with this scrappy win. Arsene Wenger has played down his team's title chance though Chelsea is to visit Emirates next after meeting Man Utd is the next fixture.

Spurs vs Villa: patchy form for Spurs and this could be a struggle.
0-1 : As predicted, Spurs fell. Tim Sherwood returned to haunt them with his resurgent Villa team. Five of the last 6 league goals were scored by Harry Kane. Now that he is in a barren spell, no one took up the mantle...

QPR vs Chelsea : Will Rangers who are fighting against relegation, upset the cart? Rather unlikely.

0-1: The Blues just nicked it at Loftus Rd, as Fabregas scored late, with 3 minutes left. The Blues will surely be crowned Champions even though Arsenal and Man Utd are next on their fixture list. Highly unlikely they will falter even if they lose to their nearest rivals.

Liverpool vs Newcastle: the Reds have to pull themselves out of the rut if they still want to retain interest in qualifying for the CL, even though the players had been saying that the FA cup is their priority after qualifying for the semi on Wed.

2-0 : Easy win for the Reds over the off form Newcastle. They will now believe again that they can overhaul the 4th place team for a CL place.
