Juventus vs Man City : 1-0 The fight for top spot in group
Jamie Vardy created history by overtaking van Nistelrooy's with his 11 consecutive goal in the EPL when he opened the scoring against Man Utd. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored his first goal for Utd with a header. Once again, the Red Devils had more possession but toothless most of the time. Frustrating to watch them.
Aside from Vardy's record breaking feat, another talking point was the benching of Diego Costa by Mourinho and his subsequent 'bib throwing at Mourinho' act when he was denied a substitute appearance in the 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane. This bickering was going on and on as no one wanted to lose.
