The stubborn nature of Van Gaal was very evident as he persisted with the 3-4-1-2 formation which was not working at all. Placing di Maria in a strange position didn't help  and Falcao labored in vain. Only when the subs came in and formation changed to 4-4-2 did the team played better. Why can't Van Gaal see that the men he had now would never be able to adopt his 'philosophy' at this moment? Once again De Gea saved the Devils with his solid display between the post. For how long can he continues to do it?

Man City vs Arsenal : 0-2 Arsenal overcame their 4yr travel sickness against the top teams with a relatively easy win at Etihad. Santi Carzola starred in this crucial win. Jose Mourinho would be raising a glass as his side is now 5 points ahead of City and appeared to be solid and unbeatable.
